Valérie Madoka Naito has been a volunteer since 1997.
This initially concentrated on supporting artists and their public relations work. Then came the organization of events and celebrations in the district (among other things as chairman of the board). Since 2013, she has been particularly committed to the culture of remembrance and the history of sustainable building in German-speaking Europe.
In 2012 she was chairman of the Sankt Pieschen e.V., which took over the organisation of the district festival in Dresden-Pieschen. Since then she has been a member of the "Association of Significant Cemeteries" (ASCE) since 2013, of the "Forum Baukultur Pfaffenhofen/Ilm" since 2014 and of the "Denk mal fort! e.V." since 2015. (Association of the Year 2017 in Saxony). She is currently working on various projects on the history of sustainable building.
